From Architecture to Words—and Back to Design

Image description
For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be an artist of some kind. So, I became an architect.

I worked with architecture for six years before stepping away to become a stay-at-home mom. During that time, another creative path opened up: writing. I became an author and have books published with Scholastic and Simon & Schuster, to name a few.

Although I’m still writing, the desire to return to my creative roots eventually led me back to design.

Today, I bring all of those experiences together through home staging and interior decor.

My architectural background taught me to see space differently—to notice proportion, flow, light, balance, and the way people move through a room. My work as a writer taught me the power of story. And my lifelong love of art taught me that a beautiful space should do more than look good—it should make you feel something.

Whether I’m preparing a home to appeal to prospective buyers or helping create a space you love coming home to, my goal is the same:

To reveal the potential that is already there.

"Creativity takes courage."

Design Experience with a Storytelling Perspective
Selling or redesigning a home isn't just about choosing pretty things. It's about understanding space, people, and feelings evoked.
My background gives me a unique perspective into these elements.

An architect's eye.
I understand space, proportion, scale, flow, and function—and how small changes can transform the way a room feels.

An artist's sensibility.
I believe beautiful spaces are created through balance, composition, texture, color, and thoughtful details.

A writer's understanding of story.
Every home tells a story. For a home on the market, that story needs to help buyers see themselves living in that space. For your own home, it should reflect your family's personality and way of life.

A practical approach.
Good design doesn't have to mean starting over. Sometimes the most effective transformation comes from rearranging what you already own, editing what isn't working, and making a few intentional additions.

A fresh perspective.
You know your home. I help you see it in a new light, and with new possibilities.
